The ATK Hy is designed for freeriders who want the downhill performance of an alpine ski binding without carrying extra weight or dealing with unnecessary complications during their ascent. This binding is the ultimate solution for creating a single setup that meets every need, enabling freeriders to access any line without limitations.

• Alpine performance: Delivers the precision and control of alpine ski bindings.
• Crafted for durability: Each half-pair features 22 structural components, all

CNC-machined from solid aluminum. Every piece is designed to be lightwei-
ght yet robust. Plus, in the rare case of damage, every component is repla-
ceable, ensuring durability and sustainability—hallmarks of all ATK bindings.

• Despite weighing only 675g, the Hy is compatible with most alpine skiing, ski
mountaineering, and freeride boots.

• Transitioning from walk to ski mode and back is seamless. To prepare for
ascents, simply raise the toe arms. For descents, rotate them forward and
down.

• Unlike standard PIN bindings, the Hy provides significant retention strength
even when the front lever isn’t fully locked. This feature is particularly useful
for rare situations where the skier might want the ski to release under heavy
strain during an ascent. However, in normal conditions, the binding should
always be used with the lever fully locked during the ascent.

• Negative steps: The Hy doesn’t have a standard flat walk mode but instead
features a “negative” mode. This allows the boot heel to drop slightly below the toe level, improving stride efficiency and reducing strain—especially be-
neficial for freeride boots with limited cuff mobility.

• Hy Brake System: The rear ski brake locks automatically when the heel lever
is set to walk mode. To lock it in position, press the rear paddle with your hand
or boot during the first step.

• In ski mode, the boot sits flat on the ski, eliminating the rear-front pin hei-
ght differential typical of standard pin bindings. This design delivers an alpi-
ne-like feel and performance.

• Integrated crampon support.
